IMPACT CONSULTING
Operations and Traffic Manager

Since joining Impact Consulting in June 2024, I’ve been managing day-to-day operations, overseeing workflow, and ensuring efficient project execution. Impact Consulting specialises in helping businesses optimise their performance through process improvements, project management, and organisational development. My role involves optimising internal processes, managing resources, and ensuring clear communication across teams. I work closely with project managers to meet client expectations, support strategic planning, and handle logistics for various consulting projects.

FANCY HORSE STUDIOS
Project and Operations Manager

Since June 2023, I’ve been overseeing the operations, logistics and installation of the Karoo Origins Fossil Centre’s physical exhibit. Located in South Africa’s fossil-rich Karoo region, the centre features the world’s largest collection of Permian fossils. I coordinate all aspects of exhibit setup, working closely with the design team at Fancy Horse Studios to create an immersive, educational experience for visitors. My role involves managing logistics, installation, and ensuring smooth execution throughout the project.

CAPE TOWN INTERNATIONAL ANIMATION FESTIVAL
Project and Operations Manager

I collaborate with the festival director to ensure smooth operations across all event aspects, including budgeting, logistics, catering, and guest management. I coordinate with the design team on event collateral and work with marketing and social media teams on promotions. Additionally, I handle speaker itineraries, travel arrangements, and manage logistical coordination with key partners like FWA/Comic Con

ZACKIE2024
Head of Fundraising and Voter Education

In 2024, Zackie Achmat, a renowned South African activist, ran for the National Assembly as an independent candidate for the first time in South Africa’s history. I worked closely with Zackie’s team to develop and implement strategies for fundraising, voter education, and campaign management. Our focus was on promoting Achmat’s platform of transparency and accountability while engaging with communities across South Africa to drive participation in this historic election.

TRIGGERFISH ACADEMY
Senior Production Coordinator

I managed the end-to-end production of video content, including interviews, panel discussions, and technical training videos. I coordinated with both internal teams and external contractors, developing production schedules and overseeing logistics. I also facilitated communication across the team, ensuring smooth workflows and timely delivery of high-quality content.

WHITE DESERT
Project Manager

I had the unique opportunity to travel to Antarctica and contribute to the construction of a new high-end hotel camp on a glacier. The project required adaptability and quick problem-solving due to the unpredictable weather and challenging environment. This experience strengthened my ability to stay calm under pressure and work collaboratively with a diverse team to achieve ambitious goals.

SOUTHERN GUILD
Production and Operations Manager

I managed a variety of roles at Southern Guild, including overseeing daily operations and ensuring the smooth running of systems across departments. I worked closely with the gallery’s directors to coordinate logistics for exhibitions and events, both locally and internationally. I was responsible for event planning, budgeting, and tracking post-event success. Additionally, I managed the production side of things, coordinating the delivery and packaging of sold artworks and improving internal processes to ensure a more efficient workflow.

ACTION VOLUNTEERS AFRICA
Project Manager

I managed logistics for graduation ceremonies and compiled the organization’s annual report. I also provided support in HR and operations during a critical period, which further developed my skills in project coordination, event management, and reporting within the non-profit sector.

TEFL IN VIETNAM
English Teacher

I spent several months in Vietnam studying and teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), which allowed me to immerse myself in a new cultural environment. This experience enhanced my cross-cultural communication skills and adaptability in dynamic settings.

THE GOOD FOOD STORE, Dublin Ireland
Operations & General Manager

I managed operations for two delis and a catering department. I was responsible for overseeing marketing, sales, customer engagement, and financial operations, as well as managing staff and HR functions. My role included streamlining catering logistics and ensuring seamless service delivery, deepening my expertise in operational efficiency and team leadership in a fast-paced food industry environment.

Owner

I ran Schleppchick, providing office administration, property management, and freelance PA services. I managed operations for a variety of clients across different sectors, including law, urban development, and consulting. I was also responsible for managing a historic building renovation, project managing various initiatives, and handling financial administration. This experience strengthened my ability to adapt and streamline operations for diverse business needs.

ARTS & UBUNTU TRUST
Project, Grant and Operations Manager

At the Arts & Ubuntu Trust, I oversaw administrative operations, financial reporting, and project coordination. I managed governance records, contractor agreements, and donor reporting while coordinating logistics for exhibitions and trust meetings. This role strengthened my ability to manage financial oversight and support cultural initiatives within the non-profit sector.

TREATMENT ACTION CAMPAIGN
Various Contract Roles

Between 2008 and 2012, I worked with the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) in multiple contract roles, managing large-scale event logistics and coordination. My work included organizing gatherings for TAC, MSF, and SECTION27, ensuring seamless execution for events ranging from training sessions to international conferences with up to 700 attendees. This experience honed my skills in complex logistics, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving in mission-driven environments.

VARIOUS HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT ROLES

My early career in hospitality management included positions across South Africa and Scotland. I managed restaurant operations at Moyo in Johannesburg and led teams at Wildfire Restaurant and The Hallion Club in Edinburgh. These roles helped me develop strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of customer service, operational efficiency, and event planning, while managing diverse teams in dynamic environments.

Hobbies and Interests

I am a budding trail and endurance runner. I love the freedom that affords me, and the idea that I can explore anywhere with confidence. I am deeply creative and enjoy all art practises. I have a great love for music and crafting. I relish travel; meeting new people, tasting different foods, and learning about cultures and rituals; and love to spend time with friends and family. I am a great cook and love entertaining people in my home, although - maybe a little less so since the pandemic.
